The Best of Times and the Worst of Times

It was the best of times, and it was the worst of times...
Although there are times in life that may seem to be at their best, there is always a counterpart. The good times in life are always evened out by the bad. However, we must learn from these hard times. We need to fight through life's difficulties in order to enjoy the things in life that God has given us...
High school is almost over and the good times are rollin'! I have the priveledge to go to a private school where I can learn and recieve a healthy Christian education. I also have a loving family and good friends. Our school soccer team made it to state this year, and believe me, it was a long time coming. However, the negative aspects must have the opportunity to take their toll. School is draining, and it wears the seniors down to the core. We all await the day where we can walk out of our school with the peace of mind that we will never have to write a Dear Doug ever again. College is also stressful, applications take hours, and then there are the scholarships for those of us who don't have the money which many people take for granted. The jobs which we need for college tuition are hard to come by. These are the quite painful experiences of senior year. This is what compresses our stress so that we irrationally erupt with anger when a speaker comes to talk with us in UTT. But how can we enjoy the good without a hint of the bad? These are just a few of the very small everyday problems. God calls us to be faithdul. if we put our faith and trust in Jesus Christ, then he will provide for our needs. He will help us through the tough times and allow us to enjoy the earthly things that he has given us. God will be there throughout the best and the worst of times.

  1. Some of you seniors look like you're itching, still being here-- like you're ready to shed a skin that's become too tight.

    You're ready, aren't you?

Excited to see the soccer team play at state.
